Smart ID Certificate Manager (CM) can be configured as a High Availability (HA) solution.

In order to use a load balancer or be able to continue with operational tasks in case of a failure, CM supports the configuration of Certificate Factory (CF) and Certificate Issuing System (CIS) in active-active high availability mode. This means that one system can take over if the other one fails.

This setup requires the CFs and CISs to have compatible configurations. The CISs must have access to the same CA keys.
