Set up push notifications in Digital Access

This article describes how to set up push notifications from Smart ID Digital Access component to mobile apps. Push notifications from Digital Access component are sent out via the Nexus Push Service


Prerequisites
  • Installed Digital Access component, see here.
  • Nexus Push Service deployed.

Step-by-step instruction

Log in to Digital Access Admin
  1. Log in to Digital Access Admin with an administrator account.
Get Nexus Push Service API key

You first need to get a Nexus Push Service API key:

  1. Request an API key from Nexus by sending an email to Nexus support: support@nexusgroup.com.

    When you have received a reply with the key, you can go on to the following tasks.
Set up notification server
  1. In Digital Access Admin, go to Manage System.
  2. Click Notification Settings > Notification Server.
  3. Check Enable Notification Server.
  4. In Notification Server URL, enter the Nexus Push Service URL:

  5. In Notification Server API key, enter the API key from the previous step.
Add CA certificate

To make Digital Access component trust the service, the Nexus Push Service certificate authority (CA) must be added in Digital Access component:

  1. Download the following CA certificate file:

    GeoTrust RSA CA 2018: GeoTrust_RSA_CA_2018.cer

  2. Add the CA in Digital Access component by uploading the CA certificate files. See the section Add certificate authority in Add certificates in Digital Access.
