Prerequisites

 Prerequisites
  • Hybrid Access Gateway installed, see here.
  • Nexus Push Service installed, see here.

Step-by-step instruction

Log in to Hybrid Access Gateway administration interface
  1. Log in to the Hybrid Access Gateway administration interface with your admin user.
Get Nexus Push Service API key

You first need to get a Nexus Push Service API key in either of the following ways:

  1. If you use the Personal SDK and have an on-premises installation of Nexus Push Service, create an API key. For more information, see Add API user in Nexus Push Service.
  2. If you use the Personal Mobile app and have Nexus Push Service hosted by Nexus, request an API key from Nexus by sending an email to Nexus support: support@nexusgroup.com.

When you have received a reply with the key, you can go on to the following tasks.
 Set up notification server
  1. In the Hybrid Access Gateway administration interface, go to Manage System.
  2. Click Notification Settings > Notification Server.
  3. Check Enable Notification Server.
  4. In Notification Server URL, enter the Nexus Push Service URL:
    1. If you use the Personal SDK and have an on-premises installation of Nexus Push Service, enter the URL to your Nexus Push Service installation.
    2. If you use the Personal Mobile app and have Nexus Push Service hosted by Nexus, use the following URL:

Nexus Push Service URL when hosted by Nexus
      https://nps.nexusgroup.com/notification/push/pm
  5. In Notification Server API key, enter the API key from the previous step.
 Add CA certificate

To make Hybrid Access Gateway trust the service, the Nexus Push Service certificate authority (CA) must be added in Hybrid Access Gateway:

  1. Locate the CA certificate files:

    1. If you use the Personal SDK and have an on-premises installation of Nexus Push Service, locate the SSL certificate that was used to set up Nexus Push Service.

    2. If you use the Personal Mobile app and have Nexus Push Service hosted by Nexus, download the following CA certificate file:

      GeoTrust RSA CA 2018: GeoTrust_RSA_CA_2018.cer

  2. Add the CA in Hybrid Access Gateway by uploading the CA certificate files. See the section Add certificate authority in Add certificates.
