It is now possible to remotely run arbitrary low level card update scripts using Hermod and plugout technology. Personal Desktop is used as a proxy and tunnels commands from the Hermod server all the way down to the card. For example, it is possible to keep a secure session all the way down to the card. Personal Desktop needs to be installed on the client and the card needs to be supported. For more information on supported cards, see Personal Desktop 4.28.2 interoperability data.
