3.14 - Nexus Personal Mobilecombines online two-factor authentication (2FA) using push notifications and offline one-time password (OTP) authentication in a single mobile app.
To authenticate with Personal Mobile using push notifications, the user verifies that the random picture shown in the mobile app is the same as in the target application. This is done by pressing the smartphone’s fingerprint reader, using iPhone Face ID or typing in a PIN. To authenticate with Personal Mobile using time-based OTPs (TOTPs), the user enters a traditional, static password and a TOTP to gain access.
