Personal Mobile implements scanner functionality, which on Android is based on the Google Mobile Vision API. Due to an upgrade of Mobile Vision on behalf of Google, the Scanner functionality of Personal Mobile might become faulty in certain Android devices. This problem is reported to Google by the community: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/80454351.
A work-around for the end-user is to clear the cache for the Google Play Services App.
This problem is not tied to any release of Personal Mobile.
