Integrate Identity Manager with Microsoft services
This article describes different ways to integrate Smart ID Identity Manager with Active Directory (AD) and other Microsoft services for various use cases.

Set up LDAP authentication to Identity Manager | Set up authentication profile in Identity Manager with either the type LDAP or LDAP Core Object. |
Publish certificates to AD accounts | Set up data export to external data source from Identity Manager. Follow the instructions in LDAP directory export. As an alternative, it is possible to publish certificates via Smart ID Certificate Manager, if it is used. |
Set up Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) as certificate authority (CA) | |
Set up Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) as SAML IDP | Follow the instructions in Enable two-factor authentication to Identity Manager clients via SAML federation. Instead of Smart ID Digital Access component, do similar settings for ADFS. |
