Use case scenario
An operator wants to update the status of a card order for external production.
This article describes how to update the status for a card order for external production in Smart ID Identity Manager. This can be used to manually update the card order status from Nexus GO Cards instead of waiting for the batch sync to do the update.

This use case is disabled by default.
Prerequisites
- The card must be in state "ordered" or "in production" to be able to check/update the status for the card order
Enable the Update card order (external production) use case
- Log in to Identity Manager Admin with your admin user.
- Go to Home > Cards > Card.
- Select the Ordered tab.
- In Additional Commands, click New (the pen symbol) to add a row.
- In Additional Commands, select Update card order to add it to the Process list.
- Do that same steps in the In production tab.
- Click Save.

Log in to Identity Manager Operator
- Log in to Identity Manager Operator with your user account.
Update card order
In the SEARCH tab, select Card in the drop-down list.
Select state Ordered or In production in the Status drop-down list, and click Search. A list of cards with state "ordered" or "In production" appears. You can also add user-specific attributes in the search such as First name, Last name etc.
Select the card you want to update the status for and click Update card order. The status is dependent on the value retrieved from GO Cards, if the card is in production, been produced or failed.
Cancel the process
To cancel the process:
- Click Cancel to close the process.
- Click Next to proceed with the process.
