Upgrade Certificate Manager Web UI

This article describes how to upgrade Smart ID Certificate Manager Web UI to the latest version. For all other upgrade paths, contact Nexus.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites apply: 

Step-by-step instruction

1. Stop the Tomcat service

2. Back up Web UI folder

Back up the Protocol Gateway folder: 

Tomcat folder path

Linux: /opt/tomcat/webapps/

windows: <Tomcat folder>\webapps\

  1. Navigate to the Tomcat /webapps folder.

  2. Make a backup of the existing /webui folder and delete the old webui.war and its folder.

3.Personal Desktop Client

Verify the supported version of the Personal Desktop Client is installed. else place the windows.zip file in \webui\files\

4. Upgrade from a specific version

From web UI 1.0.0 to 2.0.1

upgrade from web UI 1.0.0 to 2.0.1

  • Copy the new released webui.war file in the webapps folder.

  • Verify the owner and permissions.

6. Restart the Tomcat service

check Tomcat, Protocol Gateway logs

verify that UI is available at https://<server-dns>:8443/webui/
