Upgrade Certificate Manager Web UI

This article describes how to upgrade Smart ID Certificate Manager Web UI to the latest version. For all other upgrade paths, contact Nexus.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites apply:

Certificate Manager (8.15) is installed. See Smart ID Certificate Manager.
Protocol Gateway is installed. See Install Protocol Gateway.

Step-by-step instruction

1. Stop the Tomcat service

2. Back up webui folder

Back up the Protocol Gateway folder:

Navigate to the Tomcat /webapps folder.
Make a backup of the existing /webui folder for reference and delete the original.
copy the webui.war

3. Upgrade from a specific version

Sequential upgrade process

To upgrade from older versions to newer versions, you must upgrade each version step-by-step.

From web UI 1.0.0 to 2.0.0

4. Replace .war file

Replace .war file

Replace the webui.war file:

Replace webui.war in the webapps folder with the new version.
verify the owner and permissions

5. Restart the Tomcat service
