Manage asset

This article describes how a Workplace asset administrator manages the relation between an asset and a certificate in the Workplace package in Smart ID Identity Manager.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites
  • The certificate must be in state "valid". 
  • The asset must be in state "active". 

Step-by-step instruction

Manage asset
  1. In Identity Manager Operator, go to the Search page and select Workplace certificate from the drop-down list.
  2. Click Search and select and search for valid certificates. 
  3. Select the certificate you want to assign and click Manage Asset.
  4. Click Assign and then click Search asset to search for active assets.
  5. Select the active asset you want to assign to the certificate.
  6. Click Next to proceed with the process or Cancel to close the process.

A technical relation is now created between the certificate and the asset.

This relation between the certificate and the asset enables the user to reassign or unassign the asset when clicking Manage Asset the next time.
