Ping support in Certificate Manager

This article describes the Ping service in Protocol Gateway.

The Ping service (monitoring service) is used for system health checks and can be used by load balancers to detect issues in nodes. A Ping call engages all internal components in the CA system, including HSM's.

What parts to ping is configurable. For more information, see Set up Protocol Gateway Ping.

Responses

• The first ping operation that fails will make the service return 503 Service Unavailable.
• If all ping operations are successful, the service will return 200 OK.

Logging

Ping requests are only logged if an error occurs. There are no audit logs.
