Virtual smart card - Manage option to select what certificates to issue

This article describes how to manage the option to select what certificates that shall be issued in the use case Get virtual smart card (self-service user) in the Virtual smart card package. A script in Identity Manager Admin is used to manage the options.

Step-by-step instruction for the administrator

Log in to Identity Manager Admin

  1. Log in to Identity Manager Admin as Administrator.


Manage the option to select what certificates to issue

  1. In Identity Manager Admin, go to Home > Scripts.

  2. Select the script VirtualSmartCardScriptOptions.

  3. There are 3 variables in the script, see the example, see also section "Default value and outcome".

    Example:

    /* Defines what kind of certificates will be requested for the virtual smart card * true - Included in the certificate request * false - Not enrolled to the virtual smart card */ VirtualSmartCardOptionRequestEncryptionCertificate = false VirtualSmartCardOptionRequestSignatureCertificate = true VirtualSmartCardOptionRequestAuthenticationCertificate = true

     

  4. Click Save in the upper left corner to save the updated script (or exit without saving if there are no updates).
