Configure tasks (processes) in Smart ID Self-Service

This article includes updates for Smart ID 22.10.

This article describes how to configure what tasks (processes) that shall be displayed on the Dashboard in Smart ID Self-Service under the heading "What do you want to do?". Also described is how to change the order of the tasks (processes) that are displayed. A task relates to a process in Identity Manager.

Configure what tasks (processes) that shall be displayed

On the Dashboard in Smart ID Self-Service, under the question "What do you want to do?" the available tasks for a specific role in Identity Manager are displayed. Each task in Smart ID Self-Service relates to a process, and you must define which roles that should have the permission to start each process.

  1. In Identity Manager Admin, go to Home > Process Import.

  2. Select a process, for example, 'Change USSP-Password', double click to open it.

  3. Go to the Permissions tab.

    1. Select Show in Self-Service, and add the roles that shall be able to see this process in Smart ID Self-Service, for example the role 'BaseRoleSelfServiceUser'.

    2. Select Start process, and add the roles that shall be able to start this process in Smart ID Self-Service, for example the role 'BaseRoleSelfServiceUser'.

  4. Click Save.

The task (that is, the process 'Change USSP-Password' in this example) will now be displayed in the Smart ID Self-Service Dashboard under "What do you want to do?".

The Dashboard only shows the processes that are not related to a core object. The processes that are related to a core object are available under Possible actions for a core object.

Change the order of the displayed tasks (processes)

  1. In Identity Manager Admin, go to Home > Process Import.

  2. Click Sort in Self-Service. The Change Sort Sequence pop up is shown.

  3. Select a process from the Name column and click on one of the arrows to move it one step up or down in the list. You can also move it directly to the top or the bottom. In Self-Service, the order goes in the horisontal direction.

  4. Click Save.

  5. To see the changed order in Smart ID Self-Service, you must log out and log in again in Self-Service.
