Create default role manually

Use case scenario

An operator wants to manually create a default role, that shall be visible in Identity Manager Operator (instead of uploading the role).

This use case is disabled by default. 

Enable the Create default role manually use case
  1. Log in to Identity Manager Admin with your admin user.
  2. Go to Home > Lookup Tables. 
  3. Select and edit Default roles.
  4. In the General tab, select "Create default role" in the Process drop down list.
  5. Click Save. 

Step-by-step instruction for the operator

Log in to Identity Manager Operator and clear the cache
  1. Log in to Identity Manager Operator with your user account. 
Create default role manually
  1. In the Quick search drop-down list, select Default roles.
  2. Click Create default role.

    To cancel the process, see "Cancel the process" below.

  3. Add a name for the role in the Role name field.

  4. Click Next to create the role.
Cancel the process

To cancel the process:

  • Click Cancel to close the process.
  • Click Next to proceed with the process.
