Read image from digital camera

This article describes how to capture images for Nexus Card SDK by reading an image from a digital camera.

Do the following:

  1. In Configuration Manager, open Capture. The Capture Setup dialog box opens.
  2. Expand the Image object and check Digital Camera.
  3. Click Capture Dialog to open the Image Capture window.
  4. Click Read Image to load the information from the digital camera’s memory.
    Settings:

    TWAIN Dialog checked

All the images which are stored in the digital camera’s memory will be loaded as thumbnails and displayed in the TWAIN Dialog box, allowing you to select among them. The appearance of the dialog box depends on the type of camera you are using. Refer to your digital camera’s manual for further details.

Normally you should use the TWAIN Dialog.

The image will be displayed on the Image Selection tab afterwards.

    TWAIN Dialog unchecked

If TWAIN Dialog is unchecked, the procedure of reading images from the memory depends on the type of camera you are using.
Some cameras will capture a new image when reading in, others will load the first image from the digital camera’s memory.

Normally you should use the TWAIN Dialog.

The image will be displayed on the Image Selection tab afterwards.

    Image Rotation

Select an option to rotate the image clockwise by 90°, 180°, or 270°.

<< Read ImageSwitch back to the Read Image tab on which you can load a new image from the digital camera’s memory.
Automatic Enhancement >>Switch to the next edit window while the enhancement of the captured image runs.
  5. For further steps, see Capture using live image camera, heading "Select frame".
