We are proud to announce the very first release of Nexus Smart ID.
The former standalone products Hybrid Access Gateway, PRIME and Personal are now bundled and will from now on be released as one common software product: Smart ID. This change will improve the user experience as well as simplify the deployment and upgrade.
Main new features
With Smart ID 20.06, the software packaging and deployment has been harmonized, so that all Smart ID server components are available in Docker. Other technologies, such as WAR files for Tomcat or Virtual Appliance, is not supported with the Smart ID package. Smart ID 20.06 is published on the Docker Compose platform with one centralized configuration file and one deployment procedure that covers all the mentioned Smart ID components. The main benefits for our customers are: one single and modern technology, the same system requirements for all components, and very simple deployment and upgrade procedure.
New Smart ID component names
As part of the strategy to harmonize Nexus' offering, the products formerly known as PRIME, Hybrid Access Gateway and Personal, are rebranded and renamed to include Smart ID. User interfaces and documentation have been changed accordingly. What has been a standalone product before is now a sub-component of Smart ID. For easier communication on a technical level, configuration guidelines and so on, we have introduced new component names.
The new names for the Smart ID components are:
Administration Tools (like the previous "PRIME Designer") won't have a separate name in Smart ID but just get the suffix "Admin"
This first Smart ID release is based on the latest versions of the old standalone-products. See the release notes of the corresponding old products for included features.

With this Smart ID Release 20.06 we stop releasing new major versions of the old products (only bugfix releases will be provided). New features will be released as part of Smart ID only.
