Temporary cards - Manage option to encode a temporary card

This article describes how to manage the option to encode a temporary card. This is used in the use cases Assign temporary card and Extend temporary card in Smart ID Identity Manager, the Temporary cards package. A script in Identity Manager Admin is used to manage the options.

Step-by-step instruction for the administrator

Log in to Identity Manager Admin
  1. Log in to Identity Manager Admin as Administrator.
Encode a temporary card
  1. In Identity Manager Admin, go to Home > Scripts.
  2. Select the script TempCardsScriptOptions.
  3. In the section Certificates in the script, go to the TempCardsEncode variable, see the example. By default it is set to true.

    Example:

    /* 
    Defines if a temporary card will be encoded during assignment.
    Possible options:
     * true(default) - The temporary card will be encoded during assignment.
     * false - The temporary card will not be encoded during assignment.
    */
    TempCardsEncode = false
  4. If you don not want the temporary card to be encoded during assignment, set TempCardsEncode = false.
  5. Click Save in the upper left corner to save the updated script (or exit without saving if there are no updates).
