Main new features

Some of the main new features with this release:

  • Support for Mifare DUOX with AES-128

  • The LEGIC Prime integration does now support creating Segments with an equal or bigger Organization Level Value which are based on only one IAM

  • Card SDK now supports Log Rotations to minimize disk space for logfiles

  • Updated Demo Certificates

ActiveX deprecated
The ActiveX interface is deprecated. Although it is still used, it is not recommended to integrate Card SDK via ActiveX. The ActiveX components are no longer maintained and will eventually be deleted from the project. Technical Support for this interface is no longer available.

SOAP-API deprecated
Starting with Card SDK 6.3 the SOAP-API will be deprecated. The interface is still available but will no longer be maintained or updated. Technical Support for this interface will no longer be available.

Description

SDK-1184

Card SDK now supports encoding of MIFARE DUOX.

Currently supported features are:

  • AES-128 encodings with/without SAM AV3

  • Random ID

It is now supported to write/activate the following keys on PICC level through the EV2 software layer and the EV2 SAM AV3 layer:

  • VCConfigurationKey

  • VCProximityKey

  • PICCDAMAuthKey

  • PICCDAMMACKey

  • PICCDAMENCKey

There is also support for:

  • CardConfigByte

  • SAK (supported values in hex. are: 2420, 2428 or 2438)

  • Secure Messaging on PICC or application level

GUI: The dialog for selection encoding descriptions is resized to display long file names correctly.

The demo certificates for the IDProductionService are updated.
Important details:

  • identical validity period as the previous demo certs thus 10 years

  • identical extensions as the previous certs

  • RSA 4096 instead of RSA 2048

  • the signature algorithm is SHA-384 with RSA instead of SHA-256 with RSA

  • the CN is "Nexus Card SDK DEMO CA" in the CA cert

  • the CN is "Nexus Card SDK Service" in the end-entity cert

SDK-1223

Logging: Card SDK now automatically rotates its log files to limit the maximum file size.
The standard log file size is 100 MB. This size is optional be adjustable in cms.ini.

  • only the size of the main log file is the indicator to do a rotation

  • a rotation of the main log implies that all related logs (e.g. JPKIEncoder, LEGIC, ...) are also automatically rotated

  • all logs will only have one backup log

SDK-1224

LEGIC Prime now supports creating segments with an equal or bigger Organization Level Value which are based on only one IAM.
The following LEGIC reader chips are supported:

  • SC-2560,

  • SM-4500

  • SM-6300init

Fargo HDP6600 can now check its internal buffer for active and waiting jobs to prevent the parallel processing capability of this printer during a chip encoding.

Capture: There was an issue where the function "processImage" could crash in some rare cases. This has been fixed.
