NextVSC is compatible with Smart ID Desktop App version 2.2.3 and later versions. Latest version is recommended.

NextVSC Mobile requires minimum Hermod 4.8.0 and later versions, and Smart ID Mobile App 7.0 (iOS & Android) and later versions.

NextVSC Mobile is provided only as Limited Availability (LA) release and requires a separate installer, that contains both standard functionality as well as the Mobile part.

NextVSC Mobile
NextVSC Mobile extends the existing solution built on the TPM-based Virtual Smart Card (VSC) on desktop, to also support the Mobile VSC that resides inside Smart ID Mobile App (iOS & Android).
By using a QR-code pairing process the end-user can now connect their PKI-based Mobile VSC to their Window 10 or 11 computer and use Smart ID Mobile App as a physical smart card to perform their daily tasks.
Typical use-cases are Windows Logon, PDF Signing, S/MIME email security, TLS authentication and more.
NextVSC Credential Provider
NextVSC 1.5 introduces a custom Credential Provider for Windows 10 and 11, integrating directly with the Windows sign‑in experience. This enables a more intuitive and consistent login flow, with clearly defined and branded authentication options, including dedicated icons for mobile-based and TPM‑based Windows Logon.
