Jira ticket no

Description

CRED-14632

Options have been added for smart card initialization with Nexus Personal Desktop Client. For more information, see Encodings using Personal Desktop Client middleware in Identity Manager.

CRED-14633

Besides writing certificates and keys, the Pkcs#11 interfaces also allow to write arbitrary data objects on the smart card. This is now supported by Smart ID Identity Manager with different middleware. This is not supported with Nexus Personal Desktop Client.

For more information, see Write data objects to smart cards

CRED-14814

Added support for JCOP4 cards using Idopte middleware for the following use cases:

  • Find out card type

  • Activate card and set PIN

  • Deactivate card

  • Unblock PIN

  • Change PIN

  • Write EF.ID and EF.FUNCTION to card

  • Write certificates to card

  • Perform certificate requests (PKCS#10)

  • Perform certificate archival and recovery

See Encoding using Idopte middleware in Identity Manager (and sub-pages) for more information.

CRED-15119

The sort order of card applications (encodings) was not deterministic when exporting/importing the configuration. Now a sort column has been added. When saving or importing a card template, the correct sort order will be persisted and used by Card production. For more information, see Upgrade Smart ID Identity Manager from 23.10.2 to 23.10.3

CRED-15230

The performance of the history signature chain verification has been improved by enabling the verification in multiple threads. A new parameter "commonHistoryService.SignatureVerifyThreads" has been added for this. See List of Identity Manager system properties for more information.

CRED-16274

Errors from the HTTP Client task can now be handled with the BPMN error Wrapper. See Error handling service tasks in Identity Manager for more information.

CRED-16281

Added support for ECC encodings with CardOs middleware. See Set up elliptic curve cryptography encoding in Identity Manager and section “Supported smart cards and middleware in Identity Manager” in IDM 23.10.3 - Requirements and interoperability for more information.

CRED-16290

When exporting search results, translations now also include meta-fields like status and boolean fields and use the date-format of the user's locale.

CRED-16360

When using Idopte Middleware, it is now possible to have the PIN Code of the card entered and checked before certificates are renewed in addition to identify with the adminkey.

CRED-16518

The HTTP Client Task is now available as a service task in the integrated BPMN editor in Identity Manager Admin.

CRED-16536

The D-Trust Certificate Service Manager API was based on SOAP but is now in the process of being replaced by a RESTful API. Smart ID Identity Manager now offers the option to use both, enabling customers to switch from one to the other.

For more information, see Integrate Identity Manager with D-Trust connector.

CRED-16544

The attestation key generation tool has been improved to make it easier to use. The documentation has also been updated, see Sign and encrypt engine in Identity Manager

CRED-16753

When pushing a CRL from Certificate Manager to Identity Manager, a response is now sent to Certificate Manager after the full list has been received and the signature verified. It is not waiting for Identity Manager to process the entire list.

DEVOPS-1493

The execute search task has been extended to make the full result list available in the process map. See Process - Standard service tasks in Identity Manager for more information.

DEVOPS-1532

A new possibility to validate if a process can be started has been added. It is now possible to use a script and make the visibility of the process dependent on the value of script variables, see Configure process start validation for more information.

DEVOPS-1602

The Service Task Modify Roles automatically has been extended to resolve expressions for the roles to be set. See Set up process in Identity Manager for more information.

Corrected bugs

Jira ticket no

Description

CRED-13724

There was an issue with wrong dates when creating .ics files. This has been fixed.

CRED-15998

There was an issue where the history cleaning job would not delete all entries as defined. This has been fixed.

CRED-16452

The name of the default attestation key has been changed in the respective Messaging Service tasks.

For more information, see Sign and encrypt engine in Identity Manager.

CRED-16538

There was an issue where messages from Scheduled Jobs were logged to idm_rf.log instead of idm_synch.log with the delivered log4j configuration file. This has been fixed.

CRED-16682

There was an issue with processing revocation lists when the revocation reason was unspecified, and the certificate was set to "inactive" instead of the state specified in the configuration. This has been fixed. See Upgrade Smart ID Identity Manager from 23.10.2 to 23.10.3 if you have specified a different state than "inactive" for unspecified.

Digital Access 6.6.0

Important information regarding support for ECC keys

Support for ECC keys (DA-22) was introduced in Digital Access 6.5.1, which caused a new defect in Digital Access that may prevent a successful upgrade. This defect is resolved in DA-1816 and will be included in Digital Access 6.7.0 and higher versions.

The defect can be identified in the logs, see the example log lines below:

2024-04-19 10:46:09 FATAL 1021478 "Could not create server certificate for 0.0.0.0:443"

2024-04-19 10:46:09 INFO 1330301 "Reverting to last saved configuration"

Workaround

If an upgrade needs to be done to a version >= 6.5.1 before 6.7.0, the workaround is to re-upload the encrypted private keys in PEM/Base64 format, for all Server Certificates. Make sure to have this prepared before starting the upgrade.

This release focuses mainly on supporting BankID version 6.0.

With this release, only BankID version 6.0 and higher versions will be supported.

Feature improvements

Jira ticket number

Description

DA-1753

Secure Start is now mandatory with BankID version 6.0. Read more here: https://www.bankid.com/foretag/saker-start

Also see Swedish national eID - BankID and Mobile BankID for more information.

In order to cater to the requirements, the web UI field for entering personal number has been removed and will only have the authentication possible through animated QR code for Mobile BankID app. Same device will continue to work with auto-launch as before.

If you have done customized branding, it is recommended to verify that the login flows work as expected before proceeding with the upgrade in production environments.

The XPI over phone service however continues to support personal number flow.

Corrected Bugs

Jira ticket number

Description

DA-1768

There was an issue when trying to access the advanced tab of a tunnel set where the admin GUI threw an exception. This has been fixed.

DA-1180

Only attributes/claims from the last modified scope were visible in the well known configuration. This has been fixed to now show all the claims from the supported scopes.

DA-1625

Added a checkbox in Policy service global settings to enable/disable to block the GET requests on wsdl file. By default the wsdl is not blocked.

DA-936

Multi-valued variables like ‘memberOf’ were getting trimmed (upon receiving a semi-colon) in the request header in case of URL mapping. This is now fixed so all parameters in the variable can be sent across in the header.

DA-1551

Added a system property “com.portwise.mvpnms.identity.saml.engine.idp.skip_destination_check” to be set to 'true' in policy service customize.conf to ignore and log if the destination URL in the request does not match in the SAML response when Digital Access acts as IDP.

DA-1665

Added two system properties to configure the Referrer policy header for admin, policy and distribution service:

  • ”com.portwise.core.tomcat5.config.referrerPolicyEnable” (set to true by default)

  • “com.portwise.core.tomcat5.config.referrerPolicyValue” (set to no-referrer by default)

  WARNING:

  - This only works if you (re-)bootstrap with the updated createca.sh, as the old version discarded data required for renewal.
  - Re-bootstrapping will invalidate any encrypted secrets and history signatures in IDM due to chaning the keys.
  - Re-bootstrapping will also overwrite the certificates and keys in the docker deployment folder, so make a backup first,
so you can use the respective tools for re-signing and re-encrypting existing history/secrets.

### Changed

- Changed location of Identity Manager SAML samples files from `/docker/compose/examples` to `/samples/idm_saml`.
- Updated `init-smartid.sh`:
  - Now check if docker and docker-compose are installed, if not the script will exit.
  - Now asks if the deployment is a production deployment, if "Yes", the script will complete and deployment configuration can be done. If "No":
    - Ask if postgres and/or mssql shall be deployed and started.

### Fixed

- Moved comments in `smartid.env` file to be on a separate line instead of behind the value. This was breaking the applications since comments would be evaluated as part of the value.
- Fixed `init-smartid.sh` so that it works properly on CentOS.
- Fixed a typo for variable `IDM_DB_QUARTZ`.
- Fixed typo in idm-operator container in `identitymanager/docker-compose.yml`, in the path to the castore.jks.

## Removed

- Removed `init-smartid-test.sh`, it is included in init-smartid.sh.
