A self-service user wants to change the PIN code for a virtual smart card.
This article describes how a self-service user changes the PIN code for a virtual smart card in Smart ID Self-Service.
Prerequisites
Prerequisites
- The virtual smart card must be in state "active"
Step-by-step instruction for the self-service user
Log in to Smart ID Self-Service
- Log in to Smart ID Self-Service with your user account.
Change PIN
- In Smart ID Self-Service, select Cards in the Self-Service menu.
Select the active virtual smart card that you want to change PIN for.
To cancel the process, see "Cancel the process" below.
- Click Possible actions and select Change PIN.
- A pop up is shown where you click Open Smart ID Desktop App.
- In Smart ID Desktop App, your virtual smart card is shown. Click Reset PIN.
- Enter the new PIN and click OK.
- Close Smart ID Desktop App and go back to Smart ID Self-Service.
In Smart ID Self-Service, click Next.
Cancel the process
To cancel the process:
- Click Cancel to close the process.
- Click Next to proceed with the process.
